A Little Spring Cleaning

I have needed to clean out my sewing/craft room for quite awhile now, you cannot even see some parts of the floor nor even tell that there is a card table in the middle of the room. Since this is an overwhelming task I decided to work an hour or two every day. This is my first day's progress.

Before I started cleaning this is what the card table looked like.

After my one hour of work, I have made progress where there is almost a single layer of items on the card table. The items I am not keeping will be sold at a May quilters garage/yard sale. The items I don't sell I plan on donating to the guild. I have quilting, counted cross stitch and yarn items.

I think tomorrow I will be able to finish cleaning the table. This shot isn't the best as I am leaning over the table, the first picture was a side view. I guess perhaps I should have done another side view to compare them.

Annual Quilt Show

Last weekend the quilt guild I belong too had their annual quilt show. Our guild combines with another one in order to have a bigger show and not compete with each other. This year we had over 700 visitors, the most we have had in the past few years. Each guild every year makes a raffle quilt and all proceeds are given to a charity of that guild's choice. Here are some of the quilts that I absolutely loved, enjoy!

EPP Project and Pillowcase Complete

A couple of weeks ago I finally completed hand piecing and hand quilting the EPP (English Paper Piecing) project I had been working on. I ended up giving this to one of my Grandmothers who is ill. I put her initials on the table runner. It is now on her nightstand by her bed.

A few years ago I had made these flying geese blocks and then I saw this cardinal fabric, and knowing my grandmother loves birds thought it would be perfect for a pillowcase to brighten her room. My mother sewed the pillow case together.

EPP Piece Complete and other things.....

I have completed my mini table runner that I am making for one of my Grandmother's. I think that I will make the background fabric be blue, but haven't decided for sure yet.  The cat Dexter loves to sleep under the recliner so I had to take a photo of him, right as I took the picture he woke up though. I have never made quiche before so I decided to make one. I had onions, red bell peppers, green bell peppers, cheese and a little bit of italian seasoning in it. It turned out good except for I needed to add more Italian seasoning.
